Summer Greetings

SUMMER GREETINGS from all of us to all of you!

During this past school year, our students, extended families, teachers, and staff have worked diligently, played fairly, competed with determination, studied hard, and laughed with love.  Most importantly, however, they have supported one another to grow, learn, and succeed. Every member of our Sacred Heart family heads into summer having achieved personal bests and experiencing enhanced potential!

In June, the Sacred Heart family wished a fond farewell to Principal Jim Roberts and Educational Assistant Deb Carey.  Both Mr. Roberts and Mrs. Carey leave an enduring legacy of caring, kindness, and high standards.  Their traditions and memories will remain alive and well at Sacred Heart as the “Little School with the Big Heart” welcomes new staff members and embraces all that each unique person, adult and child, contributes to our close, caring, and KIND community.

Our Sacred Heart family wishes your family a well-deserved relaxing and rejuvenating summer holiday.  We look forward to welcoming you back, or anew, on the first day of school Wednesday, September 4th.  Enjoy your summer, be safe, share an act of kindness, and dream BIG.

School Bell Time Changes for September 2019

Student Transportation of Eastern Ontario (STEO) is changing school bus pickup and drop off schedules for fall 2019 for CDSBEO and UCDSB in the Northwestern region of the school districts, affecting mainly Lanark County, Smiths Falls, and some schools in Leeds County. The changes will create a consistent 8:00 a.m. start time for secondary schools, and start times for elementary schools between 9:15 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Parents will have received a letter which went home with their child yesterday, as well, a parent survey to collect feedback on childcare requirements in light of these changes was included for families with children in grades JK to grade 6. Please ensure that these surveys are returned to the school before June 7, 2019. To learn more about specific changes to school bus service, or call STEO at 1.855.441.1589.
