Holocaust survivor zooms with Sacred Heart students Grade 5-8 Students had the opportunity to hear Vera Schiff, holocaust survivor, tell her story live. Schiff was 12 when she was taken to a concentration camp. She was the only person in her family of 50. Hailey and Sienna from Mrs. Sheehan's class said they learned about how extreme the bullying was by the Nazi party. The Zoom technology allowed students to ask Schiff questions. One of our students asked if Schiff had a tattoo. She replied that she did not and that was lucky because those in the camp who were tatooed had a better chance of survival.
